How much will I be paid?

You’ll receive a very competitive salary of £450 per week for the six weeks you spend with us.

What’s the deadline for applications?

Application deadlines vary from programme to programme. Please refer to specific programme pages to ensure applications are still open.

If my application is successful, when would I start?

Those who are chosen for this year’s Summer Internships will start in late June 2012.

I’m not a penultimate year student. Can I still apply?

Our Summer Internships are designed for those who are either in their penultimate year of study, or finalists with fixed plans for the following year (further study). Either way you should be looking to start on a graduate programme in September 2013.

If you’re currently in your first-year, or second-year of a four year course, you should look into our Spring Insight programme.

What provisions do you make for candidates with a disability?

We judge applicants on their ability and nothing else, and we work hard to help those with disabilities as much as possible. Can I start my online application form and then come back to it later?

Yes – there’s a facility to save your application.

Can I get a paper copy of the application form?

Yes, although we’d rather you apply online if possible, simply because we receive and process online applications faster. We can send you a paper form in exceptional circumstances and it won’t harm your application. Email the FLDP Recruitment team at barclaysrecruitment@tmpw.co.uk to ask for a paper or Braille form. Alternatively, you can also call us on 0845 199 1602.

Do you reimburse any expenses incurred during the recruitment process?

Yes, we reimburse reasonable expenses up to £50, supported by receipts. In exceptional circumstances we might pay higher expenses, but you must contact barclaysrecruitment@tmpw.co.uk for authorisation before booking any travel over £50. Alternatively, you can also call us on 0845 199 1602.

How long does the internship last?

Our internships last for six weeks. If you are looking for something longer as part of your degree course, we also offer Industrial Placements.

What happens if I’m successful on the programme?

Those who do well on the programme could find themselves with an offer to join the FLDP the following year. Exact requirements to be offered a position will vary depending on which programme you choose.

How many vacancies are there?

We’re looking for over 30 summer interns this year.

What qualifications do I need to apply?

We’re looking for the best to join us on the FLDP, so you’ll need at least a 2.1 and 300 UCAS points from your top three A-Levels (or equivalent).

Where will I be based?

We have internships in a number of locations. Most will be in London, Northampton or Radbroke but this will be dependent on business needs. We can’t guarantee particular locations so you need to be prepared to be flexible.

Can I apply if I am a non-EU student?

We can only accept applications from EU students, or non-EU students studying at a UK institution.
